The Financial investigation Agency Act prescribes the timeline within which responses to section 4 notices should be received. A person who fails to produce documents or other information as requested or within the prescribed timeframe “commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand dollars or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or both”: section 4(7) of the Financial Investigation Agency Act, 2003.
